Buyer Policy 

Silksbazaar is a niche and unique marketplace, where buyer can purchase only Pure silk and pure silk blended with any other fabric related products, (which can be curated, assorted or generic) from the seller directly, with the help of silksbazaar’s value added services to make sure the transaction should be smooth and transparent between buyer and seller. We want to make sure that you and your seller have a positive experience on silksbazaar. Please read on to find out more about your rights and obligation as what is expected from you, as a buyer.


This buyer policy is a part of silksbazaar’s terms and conditions. By registering/opening buyers account or purchasing through guest check out in the, you are agreeing to this policy and silksbazaar’s terms and conditions.

Understanding Silksbazaar’s limitations as a Marketplace platform provides a platform for the buyers to find, learn about and enter into transaction with the sellers. It is important to note that is not a part of transaction. By shopping on the you agrees that:


You are not buying directly from, but you are buying from one of the most skilled and talented sellers on


As a buyer you understand and accept that upon making a transaction on the website, you are entering into a legal binding and enforceable contract with the seller to purchase the products from the seller using either electronic payout or cash on delivery as the method of payment to pay the transaction amount, which shall be paid to the seller through the company gateway.

You agree and acknowledge that the company is only a facilitator of the collection and remittance of transaction amount. No interest or any benefits whatsoever is given to or can be claimed by the buyer on the transaction amount collected by the company through prescribed payment methods.


All commercial/contractual terms are offered by and agreed between buyers and sellers. The commercial/contractual terms include without limitation price, shipping casts, payment methods, payment terms, date, period and mode of delivery, warranties related to products and services and after sales services related to products and services.  Silksbazaar does not have any control or soes not determine or advise or in any way involve itself in the offering or acceptance of such commercial/contractual terms between the buyers and sellers.

Payment Method and confirmation

Buyers shall pay the transaction amount through the available methods of payments (Electronic mode or cash on delivery mode), for the transaction made on the website. You will be notified when the transaction amount is credited to the silkbazaar. And shall be notified within 3 days in the case of  electronic payment and in case of cash on delivery, we will notify once the cash is collected from the logistic partners.


Buyers are not supposed to buy any products without making a payment of total transaction amount in the case of electronic purchase. If the buyer choose cash on delivery(COD) for the transaction, the buyer is entitle to pay cash to the concern person, who is making a delivery of the products.

Reviews and Contact Information

Buyers shall not communicate with other buyers outside the website to warn/appreciate them about a seller, products or listing. However, sellers deserve the best feedback on the products or services they provide, review makes them to develop their business.


The contact information which buyers provide on the website shall be accurate and current at all times and you shall be obliged to update any change in your contact information time to time on the website. If in case of any delay/non delivery due to failure of updating the accurate contact information. And whatsoever the feedback or review in this case, shall be on hold.


Reviews are the great way to learn about a seller’s products and reputation, help good sellers to build a strong reputation or help to warn other buyers about a poor experience.


By leaving the review, you acknowledge that


Your review and profile information(if any) will be publicly displayed on the sellers listing and review pages.

Reviews should not contain:

Private information

Obscene, racist or harassing language or imagery,

Prohibited medical drug claims,

About things outside the seller’s control, such as a shipping carrier, silksbazaar or a third party.

Extortion is not allowed on silksbazaar. Any attempt to manipulate reviews through threats, intimidation or bribery is considered extortion and is strictly prohibited on silksbazaar.

Examples of extortion:

1)    A buyer commenting negative review in an attempt to force the seller into providing a refund when a refund is not warranted.

2)    A buyer commenting negative review in an attempt to force the seller into providing additional items that were not agreed upon in the orginal transaction. And man more.


You understand that, as stated in silksbazaar terms of use, silksbazaar has license to use any content you provide to silksbazaar.


We reserve the rights to remove reviews or any content that violate our policies or Terms of Use.

Limitation on the transaction 

The company reserve the rights to stop/limit the amount payable and the volume of the transaction that may used on a single valid card/valid bank account by a buyer and may refuse to process the transactions exceeding such limits and may also block certain valid cards or valid bank accounts that are suspected to be misused while paying the transaction amount.

Payment Verification 

To mitigate any misuse on the payments (through which ever method) of the transaction amount initiated by the buyer may be kept on hold for the verification, in which the company may contact the buyer regarding the verification of the transaction amount and ask for the additional documents, details or data. The company shall not confirm the payment in such cases and not proceed with the transaction, until the case is solved. In the case the additional information is provided by the buyer is false, incorrect, forged, misleading or incomplete and consequently the valid card or the valid bank account will not be charged. The results of the checks and verification shall be communicated to the buyer and seller.

The company reserves the rights to refuse to process the transaction amount and stop the process of initiating the transaction. Which is against the company policies and violation of any applicable law or charges imposed by the issuing bank.

Dispatch Details and Delivery

The company/seller shall provide the dispatch details on the website within 8 days from the date of payment confirmation or within such timelines as may be agreed upon between the buyers and sellers on the website. In the case of international delivery, the dispatch details to be entered on the website within 6 days of payment confirmation.


The delivery time within the company/seller is required to ensure that the products should be delivered with in 7 days in case of domestic and 21 days in the case of international shipping, the average delivery time as per the logistic partner is 4-5 days in the domestic and 10-15 days in case of international.

In some exempted situation, the company/seller will inform about the delivery situation.


If there is any delay in delivery caused due to any natural calamity, public holiday or any other unforeseen circumstance, Silksbazaar shall not refund, return, replace or exchange any order.

Returns/Refund & Replacement

1)    Returns – “Returns” is defined as the action of sending back the product purchased by the buyer to the seller on the only on the following circumstance:

                  Customer protection enables you to make easy returns for:
                  a)    If product is damaged during the shipping – note please don’t accept the courier, if you find the courier is been damaged, tampered or opened.
                  b)    If the wrong products are sent by the sellers or If the product which is been sent and description, image is not matching as per actual purchased by the buyer. 

2)    Returns could also be resulted in refund of money in most the cases.

a)    Refund – Refund is a process that reversing the money, which has paid by the buyer’s account. Only such cases there is a demand for the return raised by the buyers on certain circumstance like defective, damaged, missing, wrong product or product and description doesn’t match.

b)    The company will scrutinize the case and make a prominent and honest decision to solve the case as per the policy and the proof.

c)    You are also permitted to claim the refund, when you have not received the product within the delivery time prescribed.


3)    Replacement – Replacements is an action or a process of replacing something in the place of another.

a)    If the buyer wish to replace the existing product due to defective, damaged, missing, wrong product or product and description doesn’t match.

b)    The company will scrutinize the case and make a prominent and honest decision to solve the case as per the policy and the proof.


For the returns/refunds/replacement, the buyers have to raise the request within 48 hours from the date you have received the product from the courier partner.

Buyers should submit the return request by registering an account or send an email to addressing the reason for the returns, order Id and attach the appropriate images for the processing on your request.

Understanding with the Issuing Bank

All Transactions conducted on the Website for which Valid Cards and Valid Bank Accounts are used for remittance of payment for Transactions on the will also be governed by the terms and conditions agreed to between the buyer and the respective Issuing Bank and payment instrument issuing company and you shall not violate any such terms and conditions. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its service providers against any direct or indirect liability that may arise on account of such violation. All online bank transfers from Valid Bank Accounts are processed using the gateway provided by the respective Issuing Bank which support the to provide these services to the Users.

Octroi & other local levies (import duties if any)

Delivery of items to buyers located in places where octroi or other local taxes and levies are charged will be liable to pay the same to the courier company even though the listing mentioned no such octroi, taxes or levy.


These charges are ungovernable and they differ from country to country according to the local rules & regulations.

Multiple Order

If you have purchased the multiple products in one order, then you will receive the different courier from different sellers.
